Kaye Donachie

Kaye Donachie (b. 1970, Glasgow) lives and works in London. She received a BA in Fine Art from the University of Central England in 1992 and an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art in 1997. Working primarily in painting, her subjects often include women associated with the early 20th-century avant-garde whose lives and work have been overlooked by art history. Solo exhibitions include American Art Catalogues, New York (2025); Maureen Paley, London (2024, 2018, 2013, 2010); Pallant House Gallery, Chichester (2023); Lismore Castle Arts, County Waterford (2021); Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, Tokyo (2019); Le Plateau, FRAC Île-de-France, Paris (2017); and The Fireplace Project, East Hampton (2015), among others. Her work has been included in group exhibitions at Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge (2026); Lismore Castle Arts, County Waterford (2026); Arnolfini, Bristol (2025); Singer Laren, Netherlands (2024); the Royal Academy, London (2023); Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt (2011); and Tate St Ives (2009), among others.
