Daniel Turner

Daniel Turner (b. 1983, Portsmouth, Virginia) lives and works in New York. He received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2006. Working primarily in sculpture and installation, his work often involves processes of casting, compression, corrosion, and chemical alteration. Solo exhibitions include Hauser & Wirth, Los Angeles (2024); Musée des Arts Contemporains Grand-Hornu, Hornu (2024); Kunsthalle Basel (2022); Galerie Allen, Paris (2021); The Maria Leuff Foundation, New York (2021); and The Chinati Foundation, Marfa (2014), among others. His work has been included in group exhibitions at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris (2023); Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2023); Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2022); and Musée de l’Orangerie, Paris (2021), among others. Turner is represented by Hauser & Wirth in collaboration with Galerie Allen, Paris.

His work was the subject of 5150, published by American Art Catalogues in 2017 with an essay by Jeffrey Grunthaner.
